    It is with sorrow that the family announce the passing of Roberta Wood of Geraldton in her 73rd year. Beloved wife of Clarence (Bud) Wood of Geraldton. Dear mother of Robert and his wife Angela of Geraldton, Ronald and his wife Mugsy of Thunder Bay and Randy and his wife Penny of Geraldton. She will be sadly missed by her seven grandchildren. Loved sister of Ada Jean McCarthy and her husband Ed of Geraldton. Sister-in-law of Gene Wood and his wife Mavis of Thunder Bay. She will also be missed by her numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Roberta was an active member of the Pioneer club. She enjoyed carpet bowling and loved to travel. There will be no funeral home visitation.A memorial graveside service will take place on Saturday, August 11th at 11 a.m. at Pinegrove Cemetery in Geraldton. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society through the Fawcett Funeral Home in Geraldton (807) 854-1212."

    Peter Hanover Reid, 1408 Lincoln Ave., died Sunday, while visiting his daughter, Mrs Robert Frost, at Geraldton, Ont.

    Born on September 18, 1870, at Middleville, Ont., Mr. Reid had resided in Winnipeg for many years.

    He is survived by his widow, Margaret E., four sons, Frank D., Peter T. and William A., all of Winnipeg; MeCready D., Toronto; six daughters, Mrs. R. McKnight, Mrs J. Wilson, Mrs. E Bowery and Mrs. B. Galbraith, all of Winnipeg; Mrs R. Frost, Geraldton, ONt, Mrs R. Grieve, Norrrie, Que, two brothers, James, Kenora, Ont., David, Carleton Place, Ont., 16 grandchildren.

    On Saturday, Mrs. Matthew Reid of Clyde Forks, mother of Messrs. Walter and David Reid of this place was transformed from mortal to immortal. Deceased was a daughter of the late Matthew Baird of Lanark township and a cousin of Andrew Baird now reeve of that township. She was born on the 5th Concession of Lanark on May 24, 67 years ago. After her marriage, she resided on the 6th Concession Lanark until the death of her husband which occurred about five years ago when she went to live wither daughter Mrs. Robert Campbell of Clyde Forks. 18 or 19 yeas ago she was afflicted with cancer from which she suffered though at first but slightly until her death. For the last 16 weeks of her life she was confined to her bed and death was a welcome release from her afflictions. She leaves a family of nine?the three mentioned above and Alexander of Percy, Assa(?); Daniel, James and Peter of Rat Portage; Harry at Eganville; and John at Caldwell's Mills. The funeral took place on Monday morning from the residence of her daughter Mrs. Campbell to the Presbyterian Cemetery at Middleville. Era, Jan. 18
