Funeral Rites Held Tuesday for Jas. Mann[s, sic]
James I Mann, 61, former Yale resident, died in his home in Ypsilanti, Sunday morning.

The remains were brought to the Gough Funeral Home, Yale, and later taken to the home of his sister, Mrs. Kate Grimes, Second Street, where funeral services were held at 2:00 pm Tuesday. Rev. L. W. Bishop, former pastor of Trinity Methodist Church, officiated. Buriall was in Elmwood Cemetery.

He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Shaw Hussen and Mrs. William P. Thompson, both of Detroit; two brothers, George A. Mann, of Portage, Montana, and John E. Mann, of Harrison, Nebraska; and three sisters, Mrs. Minnie Armstrong, Port Huron, Mrs Hessie M. Shotwell, Modesta, California, and Mrs. Grimes.

Mr. Mann was born in Speaker Township, Sanilac County, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Mann. He came with his parents to Yale when he was tow years old and lived here until he was 21. He served in the Spanish-American War.

James married Edna Violet Ellsworth Smith in 1911. Edna was born in 1895; died in 1982; was buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Jacksonville, Duval County, Florida, United States. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
