    William (Bill), passed away peacefully, with his family present on May 8, 1990 at the age of 80 years. Survived by his wife, Rosina (Rose). Pre deceased bv his brother Merlin "Fat" in 198. Also survived by his brothers, Peris and Lavern; sister, Lillian and their families; his uncle, Walter "Dink" Bate; his children, Dennis, Bruce, Bill, Fran, Rick, Billy, Trish, Steve, Fred, Lyall, Allan and their spouses; 24 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; special friends, Jim and Hazel Ryan; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

    Vistation will be held on Sunday, May 1 3, from 2 00-4 00 p.m. at Sands Funeral Chapels, 1803 Quadra Street, Victoria, B.C. Funeral Service will be held at Sands Funeral Chapels, May 14, at 1:00 p.m. Reverend Steve Atkinson officiating. Interment to follow at Royal Oak Burial Park. SANDS VICTORIA.

    At a pretty ceremony at the home of the bride's parentd on Saturday evening, Rev. A. de B. Owen united in marriage Marguerite Elizabeth third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. F. Newell, 1203 Whlttaker Street, to William Clauson Atkinson, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Atkinson, Mill grove Street.

    The bride was given In marriage by her father, and was prettily gowned In hyacinth blue crepe, with capelet sleeves trimmed with silver beading, and she wore a bandeau of sweet peas In her hair. Her bouquet was of carnations, roses, gladioli and gypsophlla. The matron of honor was her sister, Mrs. Charles Bennett, in a blue crepe Jacket dress and carried a sheaf of gladioli, sweet peas and fern. The little flower girls were Patricia Newell and Gloria Bennett, nieces of the bride, dressed alike In yellow taffeta frocks, with matching ribbon bows in their hair.

    Their bouquets were composed of sweet peas. Mr. Merland Atkinson, brother of the groom was best man. The wedding music was played by Mrs. Denton.

    During the service the bride and groom stood beneath an arch of flowers and greenery. While the register was being signed, little Marian Newell, sister of the bride, sang, 'T Love You Truly."

    The wedding guests were received by Mrs. Newell, mother of the bride, dressed In a Burgundy crepe frock and wearing corsage bouquet of sweet peas, and by Mrs. Atkinson, the groom's mother, who wore a navy blue ensemble with white accessories, and a corsage bouquet of sweet peas, The supper table was centred with a three-tier cake.

    The bride, nd groom left for a honeymoon up the island, the bride wearing a fawn coat over her frock) and accessories to match.
    Mr. and Mrs. Atkinson will make their home in Victoria.
