    Died:
Mrs. Marion McKinnon, of Penola, died on Tuesday, November 8th, at her daughter's residence, near Serviceton, at the age of 81 years. Her husband, Mr. Angus McKinnon, who was well known throughout the South East as a stockman, pre-deceased her by about three years. Mrs McKinnon was born near Edinburgh, Scotland and came to Australin in 'the Ant' in 1856, and landed at Robe. Nearly 30 years were spent about Robe andKingston, where her family was reared. They moved to Frances, and remained there for 20 years. She came to Penola as a nurse 24 years ago, and carried on her profession until recent years when the infirmities usually associated with old age prevented her from doing so. Six children survive her: Mrs Pollock (Murray Bridge), Mrs Campbell (Western Australia), Angus McKinnon, Willunga, Peter McKinnon (Brisbane), James McKinnon (Adelaide) and Mrs J. Mitchell (Serviceton).
