    James Bryce along with his wife and 6 children departed Greenock, Scotland July 17th, 1815 aboard the "Atlas" arriving at Qu?bec September 4th. He was a farmer back in West Calder, Midlothian Scotland and resumed his trade on the first Line of Bathurst accumulating a large amount of land on the Scotch Line.

Her brother Samuel is also found arriving aboard the "Atlas" at Qu?bec, September 4th, 1815 with Jane and her family. Samuel's Death Notice in the Bathurst Courier, November 11th, 1854 records his death at James Bryce, his brother-in-law's.
