    Lori Ann Thorp, 33, of Lebanon, died Sunday, March 16 at her home.
    Funeral services were held Thurday, March 20 at the Lebanon First Assembly of God church with George Sahlstrom officiating. Private family intermnet as at the Powell cemetery.
    She was born Nov, 21m 1963 in LaGrande to Paul Allen and Sally Ann Morton Wofenbarger. She lived in Elgin until 1970 and in LaGrande until moving to Lebanon in 1977.
    In 1981 she graduated from the Lebanon Academy of Christian Education. She went on to Linn Benton Community College's dental assistant program and began working in that field. She worked for two different dentists in Lebanon.
    She was a homemaker, and enjoyed and supported her children when they played basketball and soccer. She was a member of the Berlin Foursquare Church and enjoyed sketching and music. She was an animal lover also.
    She married Bruce Thorp on July 15, 1995 in Lebanon. Bruce Thorp works for the City of Albany Fire Department. Lori Thorp assisted her husband when he led worship services in their home.
    She is survived by her husband, Bruce Thorp; parents, Allen and Sally Wolfenbarger of Lebanon; sons, Nathan Schmidt, Daniel Schmidt, Stephen Schmidt and Josiah Thorp, all of Lebanon; daughters, Carna Schmidt, Kayla Schmidt and Carly Thorp, all of Lebanon; brothers, David and Jason Wolfenbarger, both of Lebanon; a sister, Amy Hoyt of Lebanon; a ste-brother;, Randy Busby of Lebanon; and grandparents Archie and Trene Wolfenbarger of Lebanon and Wade and Connie Johnson of Redmond.
    A memorial fund has been established at the Linn Co. Credit Union of Lebanon.
    The Workman and Steckly Funeral Chapel is handling arrangements.

    Robert Morton, 64, of Lebanon, died Thursday, Oct. 31, at Lebanon Community Hospital of an apparent heart attack.

    Funeral services will be at 4 pm Monday at Jost Funeral Home, with the REv. Bill Miller officiating. Private burial will follow at the Lebanon IOOF Cemetery.

    Memorial contributions can be made to Lebanon Community Hospital.

    Morton was born March 13, 1921, at Basin , Wyo., and moved to the Lebanon area as a child. He lived in the area until 1962, when he moved Elgin, where he owned and operated a grocery store. He retired in 1964 as a forklift driver at a plywood mill.
    He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, was a member of the Elgin First Christian Church, the La Grande Elks Lodge, tyhe La Grande Fraternal Order of Eagles, and the Elgin Stampeders.

    Survivors include four daughters, Sally Wolfenbarger, Lebanon; Kathy McCann, Mesa, Ariz.; and Susie Williamson and Tracie Morton, both of Elgin; two sons, Steve, La Grande, and Dan, Elgin; two sisters, Viola Fuller, Lebanon, and Bernice Weldon, Minnesota; 18 grandchildren and one great grandchild

    Connie Elliott Johnson, 87, of Redmond and formerly of Elgin, died Dec. 11. A graveside service will be held at Bramlet Cemetery in Wallowa later.

    Connie was born during a snowstorm on Jan. 1, 1923, at the Elliott ranch on Elliott Lane near Prineville. Premature, she was presumed to be still-born until great-grandma felt movement against her apron and rushed her to the warm kitchen.

    She was the first child of Elbert and Thelma (Miller) Elliott. The family later moved to Lebanon.

    After graduation from high school, Connie married Robert Morton. Together they farmed 80 acres. They had two sons, Steve Morton of Union and Dan Morton of Naches, Wash.; and daughters, Kathi McCann of Crooked River Ranch, Susie Williamson of Redmond and Sally Wolfenbarger of Lebanon.

    In 1962, the family moved to Elgin, where she and husband, Bob, owned and operated Morton's Food Store. They later divorced.

    Connie married Wade Johnson of Wallowa in 1975. They enjoyed traveling and later settled in Redmond. Wade died in 2003.

    Connie was an active member of The Elgin Stampeders, The Pythian Sisters and the Indian Valley Paraders.

    Connie loved gardening. Those who knew her say she had an astounding knowledge of botany and plant growth. She greatly valued her garden club friends, her kind neighbors and her large family.

    Connie is survived by her brother, Robert Elliott of Lebanon; all her children; stepson, Wade (Corky) Johnson; 15 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and numerous step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, parents, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

    Her sister, Mary Lou Parker, followed her in death on Dec. 27. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Jim and John Elliott.
