    At home on September 24, 2013 with family by her side in her 86th year. Predeceased by her husband Wm. Nelson Harrison (2006). Loving mother of Jill Nichol (Kevin) of Tecumseh, ON and Catherine Harrison Thomson (Kirk) of London.

    Dear Stepmother to Stephen (Vicki), Allan, Jeff (Donna) Harrison and Debby Wood. Cherished grandmother to Harrison and William Nichol, Erin Harrison Levi, Gary and Richard Krezanowski and Marlee Harrison. Predeceased by granddaughter Laura Nichol, great-grandson Asher Duncan, daughter-in-law Lori Watt, brothers Chesley (1997), Harold (1997) and sister Nina (1985). Marie will be missed by her many loving nieces and nephews and an extensive network of friends.

    Marie was born in Woodstock, Ontario to the late Louis and Elsie (Burry) Burton. After raising her children, Marie returned to work managing the Canadian office for Dr. Graham's Homes, a school for Anglo-Indian children in India. Marie was a gifted painter, avid reader and lifelong learner. She participated in The American Association of Parliamentarians, Toastmistress International and was an active member of Metropolitan United Church. Cremation has taken place. T

    The family will be At Home to visitors on Friday, October 4 from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. at 7191 Clayton Walk. Funeral Service on Saturday, October 5 at 1pm at Metropolitan United Church, London, with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy and donations to the London Health Science Foundation, London Regional Cancer Clinic or Music Program at Metropolitan United Church may be made through London Cremation Services (519) 672-0459 or online at www.londoncremation.com. Special thanks to Dr. Logan and staff at LRCP, Dr. Nancy Moser, Dr. Kirk Hamilton and Victoria Pastorius, RN for their excellent care and for facilitating Marie's wish to die at home.

    MR AND MRS WILLIAM NELSON HARRISON

    A candlelight ceremony at St Paul'a United Church, Paris united in marriage Miss Elsie Maria Burton and Mr William Nelson Harrison. White chrysanthemums provided the floral decor as Rev Stanley Tose officiated. Traditional wedding music was supplied by Mr Jack Abrahamse organist and Mr Oliver Mulholland soloist .

    The bride waa given in marriage by her father. She is a daughter of Mr and Mrs Louis Burton of Paris. The bridegroom's parents are Mr and Mrs Bert Harrison of Goderich.

    For her wedding the bride chose a floor-length gown of candlewhite brocade embroidered with tiny seed pearls. The bodice featured elbow-length sleeves and a portrait neckline.Her fingertip veil of nylon tulle was fastened to a band of tiny pearls, and she carried a cascade bouquet of pink carnations and roses.

    Miss Judy Smith, maid of honor, and Miss Corinne Burton, bridesmaid, wore street length gowns of pink and sandelwood taffeta respectively. Their flowers were white chrysanthemums with wheat sheaves.

    Wearing an aqua taffeta frock and carrying a basket of mums with wheat, Deborah Ann Harrison was flower girl.

    Attending the bridegroom was his brother Mr Verne Harrison of Peterborough. Ushers were Mr Lile Burton of Paris and Mr Roger Harrison of Oshawa.

    Attending the wedding and a reception at Hotel Kerby were guests from Peterborough, Trenton, Goderich, Woodstock, Carnarvon, Hartley, Beaverton and Oahawa.

    A brown printed sheath dress topped by a muskrat jacket, brown accessories and complementary corsage of bronze mums was the bride's going away outfit The new Mr and Mrs Harrison are now residing at Goderich.
