    Died:
    Word has been received here of the death in Kingston Ont., on Saturday of John R. A. Samuels, piano manufacturers' agent, and a former resident of Ottawa. He was 72 years of age. Mr. Samuels lived on Waverley atreet in Ottawa for many years and news of his passing will be received with regret by many friends in Ottawa. He had been a resident of Kingston for soma years.

    Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Jack Samuels of Ottawa, and a daughter, Mrs. Alice Eadie, also of Ottawa.

    The funeral is being held this afternoon at 3:30 o'clock from Reid's funeral home in Kingston to the cemetery there.

    Mrs. Archibald Barrie Passes On at Age of 81

    Margaret Campbell, widow of Archibald Barrie and a prominent member of Knox Presbyterian church, passed away at her home, 113 Waverley street, on Sunday. She was 84 years of age.

    Mrs. Barrie was born at Franktown, Ont., the daughter of Archibald Campbell and his wife Sarah Gillies, and had been a resident of Ottawa for the past 40 years. Her husband predeceased her nearly 5O years ago, at Perth, Ont.

    Survivors include one son, T. C. Barrie of Charles Ogilvy, Ltd.; another son, George, was killed in France in 1918; one daughter, Mrs. John Samuels of Ottawa; one brother, Frank Campbell of Smiths Falls, and one sister, Mrs. H. Armstrong of Smiths Falls.

    The funeral service was held at the parlors of Hulse and Playfair, Limited, 315 McLeod street, this afternoon. Very Rev. Robert Johnston of Knox Presbyterian Church officiated. Interment took place in Beechwood cemetery.
