Predeceased by her daughter Heather Bennett. Proud grandmother of tua, Mark and Robert. Great-grandmother of five. Survived by her brother Harold Doe. Friends may call at the Alan R Barker FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL,++++ 19 McArthur Avenue, Carleton Place, Ontario on Tuesday February 26, 2008 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service in the chapel Wednesday at 1 1 :00 a.m. with Father David Andrew officiating. Interment at St. James Anglican Cemetery in the spring. For those who wish, a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

The wedding was solemnized In St. James' Anglican church where Ellen Muriel, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Doe became the bride of Hamilton Nichols, only son of Mr. and Mrs. Myron Nichols. Rev. D. F. Weegar officiated.
The bride wore a street-length dress of white eyelet embroidery with lacy white Baku straw hat, corsage bouquet of American Beauty roses, and a pearl necklace, gift of the bridegroom.
She was attended by her sister, Miss Carmen Doe. Grant Gaining of Ottawa was best man. After the wedding, a buffet luncheon was served to the immediate friends at the bride's home. The couple left later for a short honeymoon. On their return they will reside in Carleton Place.
