    ELLIOTT, Marion Isabel (nee McDermid) . After a brief stay in hospital. Ottawa, on Wednesday, October 21, 2009, at the age of 84. Beloved wife of the late Donald.
    Loving mother of Jean Marengere (Yvon). and John Elliott ( Norma). She will be lovingly remembered by grandchildren Shauna. Tarryn, and Nathan; and step-grandchildren Marcus Joseph, Chantalle Marengere. and Phillipp Marengere (Elizabeth). Survived by sisters Beverley Devine and Grace Teske; predeceased by sisters Eileen McKay. Helen Murray; brothers Keith and Kenneth McDermid.
    Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street, (at O'Connor) Ottawa, from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm Friday, October 23. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, October 24 at 11 am. Contributions in Isabel's memory may be directed to the Ottawa Heart Institute.

    Marion married Donald Thomas Elliott on 6 Sep 1952 in Ottawa, Carleton County, Ontario, Canada. Donald (son of Robert Milton Elliott and Margaret Christina Gibbins, of Kemptville, of Ottawa) was born on 22 Oct 1918 in Ottawa, Carleton County, Ontario, Canada; died on 4 Sep 1991 in Ottawa, Carleton County, Ontario, Canada; was buried in Capital Memorial Gardens, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.     Choir Sings At Wedding
    Wedding music was sung by the boys' choir of Christ Church Cathedral when Marlon Isobel McDermld, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John William McDermld of Buckingham, Que., became the bride of Donald Thomas Elliott, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert M. Elliott of Ottawa.
    The Cathedral was adorned with pink and white gladioli and Rev. Arthur Leaker officiated. Given in marriage by her father the bride was attended by her sister, Miss Eileen Mc-Dermid, Frederick Cole was best man and the ushers were Robert Cross and Keith McDermld.
    The bride chose an ankle-length gown of white lace over satin. The strapless bodice was covered with a bolero Jacket. Her finger-tip veil was held by a lace headdress and she carried a semi-cascade bouquet of pink roses and stephanotis.
    A reception was held at Lauder Memorial Hall, Christ Church Cathedral and later the couple left on a honeymoon trip. The bride travelled In a light blue suit with brown accessories. The couple will live in Ottawa.
