    ROBERT M. ELLIOTT A resident of Ottawa 22 years, and cashier of the Prudential Life Insurance Company, Robert Milton Elliott passed away at a local hospital this morning after an illness of three years duration. He was born at Kemptvllle 49 years ago, a son of th late Mr and Mrs John Elliott, He was a member of St. Luke's Anglican church, and was also prominent in the activities of the Oddfellows and the Orange Order. His death will sadden his many friend In Ottawa and district.
    Besides his widow, formerly Margaret Gibbons, of Brockville he I survived by his twelve-year-old son, Donald; two sisters, the Misses Margaret and Ella Elliott, Ottawa; three brothers, Edward, Kemptvllle; John, North Gower, and Rolland J., Ottawa.
    The funeral is being held on Wednesday from his residence, 280 Flora street, to St James' church, Kemptville, interment will be in the family plot at Kemptville cemetery.

    Native Of Kemptville Robert M. Elliott, Dies In 50th Year Brother of E. M. Elliott, of Kemptville Dies in an Ottawa Hospital Resided in Capital City.
    The death occurred early Monday morning, July 13th, at an Ottawa hospital, of Robert Milton Elliott, for over twenty years a resident of Ottawa, who succumbed to an illlness of three years duration in hit 50th year.
    Well known in insurance and fraternal circles of the city, Mr. Elliott had held the post of cashier for the Prudential Insurance office in Ottawa for the past twenty-two years, and his death is widely mourned by fellow workers, lodge brothers and members of St. Luke's Anglican Church, of which he was a devout member.
    Born in Kemptville, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Elliott, Mr. Elliott was educated in the Kemptville schools and after qualifying for a teacher, taught school for some years in this vicinity. He went to Ottawa in 1909, at which time he joined the staff of the Prudential Insurance Company. Popular with fellow employes by reason of his industry and genial personsality, he was also a member of the Order of Oddfellows and the Orange Order. A communicant of St. Luke's Anglican Church, he seldom missed a service except through illness, and was widely known and highly esteemed by the congregation. Surviving are his widow, - formerly Margaret Gibbons, a native of Brockville, Ont.; one son, Donald; three brothers, Edward, of Kemptville, John, of North Gower, and Roland J, of Ottawa; and two sister, the Misses Ella and Margaret Elliott, both of Ottawa.
    The funeral was held yesterday afternoon from his late residence, 280 Flora street, to St. Lukes Anglican Church where the service was conducted by Rev. J. E. Lindsay, rector. Interment was made in 'the family plot in St. James' cemeterh Kemptville.

    In the death at his residence last evening of Thomas Gibblns, Brockvllle loses one of its oldest and highly esteemed citizens. Bom in Smiths Falls on November 14, 1851, the late Mr. Gibbins was in his 86th year. He was a
    son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Gibblns. natives of England, and a carpenter by trade. He had resided In Brockvllle for more than 63 years and for 40 years of that time was a foreman In the Rathburn Lumber Company and Brockvllle Lumber Corporation plants here.
    The late Mr. Gibblns was one of the founders and original members of St. Paul's Anglican church and a member of the executive committee since the church was started. He had also been a member of the town council several years ago. Besides his wife, the former Jane Susannah Ferrier of Perth, he is survived by two daughters and one son. They are: Mrs. George C. Howison, Brockville; Mrs. Margaret Elliott. Ottawa, and Walter B. Gibblns, East Orange, N.J.

    Died; Mar 26, 1948 Mrs. Jane Gibbins passed away on Friday. Native of Perth was very active despite the advanced age of 91.
    Mrs Jane Susan Gibbins in her 92nd year passed away very suddenly Friday Morning at 17 John St, the home of Miss Anna Irvine, where she had resided. She was born at Perth July 7, 1856, the daughter of John Ferrier of Kenteleen, Scotland and his wife the former Sussanah Lawson of Glasgow Scotland.
    She was married in Perth to the late Thomas Gibbins who predeceased her on April 20, 1937. A resident of Brockville for about 77 years, who was very active despite her advanced years and up and about all winter long being down town Thursday. She was in the process of dressing when taken by a heart seizure Friday morning. She was the oldest and one of the original members of St. Pauls Anglican church and was very active in all organizations of the church up until the last. She was very well know in Brockville and was highly respected by a wide circle of friends.
    The last of her family, she leaves to mourn her loss one daughter, Mrs. Margaret Elliott of Ottawa, 12 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The remains will rest at the G. W. Paul funeral parlour until Monday afternoon when the service will be conducted in St. Pauls church at 2o'clock.     A Lawson family lived just across the bridge on the left hand side next to Ross Miller's farm (Rideau Ferry). In fact I think there was a log house there at one time.

    His father was a cousin of John Fisher Ferrrier, Alices' father, and at one time they owned the corner block wher the Bank of Commerce is, had a harness making shop there and owned houses back behind on Herriott Street.
