    Mrs. John Alexander Gemmlll, resident of Winnipeg who died suddenly on Sunday while on a visit to her sister, Mrs. James Playfair, of Midland, Ont,

    Mrs. Gemmill, whose maiden name was Emily Helen Ogilvie, was a daughter of the late Hon. Senator A. W. Ogilvie, pioneer and founder of a large flour milling concern with headquarters in Montreal. She was born in Montreal 76 years ago and following her marriage to John Alexander Gemmill, a former Ottawa barrister, she came to Ottawa with her husband in 1883. Until her husband's death In 1905, Mrs. Gemmill resided in the capital, but then removed to Winnipeg where she has lived since.
