Mrs William B. Buffam
The death of Mrs William B. Buffam of Moffatt street, Carleton Place, occurred at the Ottawa Civic Hospital on Sunday, August 18, 1974, following an illness of six weeks. She was the former Ethel White, and was in her 70th year. Mrs Buffam is survived by three sons, William B., Samuel and Alfred, and a daughter, Lynn (Mrs S. Lacelle). She was predeceased by a daughter, Dorothy (Mrs Stewart). Also surviving are a brother, Bruce White, sisters, Mrs Emily Haskett and Mrs Susan Cook, 14 grandchildren and one great grandchild. The funeral was held from the Comba Funeral Home, Church street, Almonte, on Tuesday, August 20, at 2 pm., with burial at Auld Kirk Cemetery. Pallbearers were Stanley White, Henri Sabourin, Victor Tinsley, George Walkley, Hubert Lackey and S. Cook.

William (son of Samuel Buffam and Janet Anderson) was born in 1877 in Fallbrook, Bathurst Twp, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada; died on 15 Mar 1953 in Almonte, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada; was buried in Auld Kirk Cemetery, Mississippi Mills, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada.
