    Mrs. Marlorle Jean Bardenhagen, of Eckville, passed away suddenly on April 3, 1992 In Eckvllle, at the age of 77 years.

    Marjorie Jean Carroll was born to Hurley and Beattie Carroll, on May 25, 1914 In Kamloops, B.C. At the time the family was living ot 150 Mile House, B.C. and then later at Ashcroft, then for a short time In Field, where her father worked as a telegraph operator. They then moved to Drumheller, where Jean attended school. They resided In Drumheller until moving to the Gilby area .

    In 1930, where she met and later married Glenn Arthur Bardenhagen on October 3, 1938. Jean and Glenn, moved to Nordegg in 1940 where Glenn drove truck. They then moved back to the Gilby area and Jean then cooked on various rig camps until her retirement In 1979. She continued to live In the Gilby area until her death.

    Our grandmother was an inspiration to all of her family and friends. She has a zest for life that could be compared to few. No one has made such an impression in our lives. She was not only our mother and grandmother, but she was also one of our best friends. Grandma Jean was taken away suddenly, before anyone had a chance to say good bye, now we won't say good bye but, see you soon, and until then your love and laughter will live in our hearts forever.

    Jean Is survived by her husband Glenn; children, Ron and his wife Sharon, of Aberdeen, Scotland; Bonnie Casey of Lac La Hache, B.C., and Rod and his wife Mary of Eckville. She will also be greatly missed by her seven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, her brothers, Bill and his wife Irene Carroll of Bentley; Gordon and his wife Violet Carroll of Sunset House; Charles and his wife Edna Carroll of Eckville; and her sister, Helen and her husband Gene Cook of Calgary, as well as many close frlends. Jean Is predeceased by a grandson, Dustin Roderick Saige and her parents, Beattie and Hurley Carroll. Funeral Services for the late Mrs. Jean Bardenhagen will be held from the Eckville Community Centre, Eckville, on Wednesday, April 8, 1992 ot 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Andrew Burnand officiating. Interment will follow In the Bradshaw Cemetery. As on expression of sympathy, memorial tributes may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.     In Ashburnham on Saturday last, on the 22nd instant, Jennett, relict of the late Charles Gow, aged 65 years. Mrs. Gow was a native of Scotland. Her parents Mr. and Mrs. Fender (sic) "Ferrier", late of Dummer, emigrated to Canada in 1815 arriving in Quebec the very day the result of the battle of Waterloo was received. The family settled in Perth for a time, remaining there tull 1833 (?) when they moved to Ashburnham (sic). She leaves one son and three daughters to mourn her bereavement.

    They stayed in Ohio for a couple years before moving into the Peterborough area of Ontario. William and Jane had nine children in total before Jane's early death at age 44.

    Jane now rests in the Lakefield cemetery, with her mother, Christina Martin.

    1. 7. Jane Christian Wood was born on 8 Jan 1848 in Aberdeenshire, Scotland; died on 28 Nov 1903 in Dummer Twp, Peterborough County, Ontario, Canada; was buried in Little Lake Cemetery, Peterborough, Peterborough County, Ontario, Canada.
    2. Isabella Wakinsha Wood was born in 1850 in Premnay, Aberdeenshire, Scotland; and died.
    3. Wiliam Wood was born in 1852; and died.
