Transport Baltic Merchant, under Captain Jeffreys, sailed from Greenock July 14th, 1815, and arrived at Quebec September 4, 1815 with 194 passengers, who proceeded in this vessel under the command of Lieutenant Champion, of the Royal Navy, Agent for the Transports.

"Alexander Kidd came to the Township of Dummer in 1831, where he took up 100 acres on Lot 5 Concession 2, which he cleared, fenced and improved and remained on until 1874. Mr kidd married Christie White of Scotland, by whom he had 11 children."

He was born at Boness, Scotland; Also His Wife Christiana White, Who Died on the 13th of August 1866 Aged 85 Yrs & ! 1/2 Mo.
She Was Born at Linlithgow, Scotland; They Came to Canada in 1815. Settled at Perth Co., Lanark in 1816.
In 1831 they removed to Dummer. Where they died, full of years and in hope of a glorious immortalia.
