    The death of Mrs Munro took place at the home of her daughter, Mrs F.D. Allport, University Ave., Cobourg, on Saturday last after an illness of five weeks though she had been in failing health since last March. Deceased was born in Perth eighty-two years ago, her maiden name being Jessie Fraser. The late Mrs Munro lived in Almonte for the greater part of her life. She was well and favourably known and a faithful member of the Presbyterian Church. She spent the last five years with her daughters.

    She is survived by one brother, Dr Wm Fraser of California and six daughters, Mrs J.C. Rosevear, Mrs F.D. Allport, and Mrs W.T. Templeman of Cobourg, Mrs Alex Calder of Echhart, Manitoba, Mrs J. Love of Winnipeg and Mrs W.M. Simpson of Ramsay. Annie, Mrs A.G. Campbell died in Calgary five years ago.

    There was a short funeral service held at the home of Mrs Allport on Sunday evening at Cobourg by the Rev Mr Bremner of the Presbyterian Church and Rev Mr Norton of the Baptist Church and the remains were brought to Almonte on Monday. The funeral was held from Mr H.O. Simpson's Union St., Rev J.D. McCrae, Rev J.T.E. Blanchard and Rev V.G. Collins taking part. The family have the sympathy of their many friends in their bereavement. Interment took place on Tuesday afternoon to the eighth line cemetery.

    Mrs. Archibald Fraser
    The funeral of the late Mrs. Mary Fraser, widow of the late Archibald Fraser, formerly of Perth, Ont. took place on Wednesday last from the residence of her son John Fraser, Spencerville, to the protestant cemetery of that place, and was very largely attended, Rev. I. F. Boyd, of Almonte, conducted the funeral service.

    She was a native of Scotland and came to Perth, Ont.,in 1816, being 91 years of age at her death. she leaves three sons, three daughters, Three brothers, one sister, fifty grandchildren and 81 great-grandchildren.

    Her sons are Messrs John Fraser, Spencerville; William, of La Salle, Ill., USA; James of Perth, Ont; three daughters Mrs. J. Scott, Caron; Mrs J Connely, Ottawa, and Mrs. J Munro of Almonte.

    During her long and useful life the late Mrs. Fraser was a consistent Christian, a member of the Presbyterian church. For many years she had lived with her son John in Spencerville where she was beloved by all who knew her and she was admired as a bright example of the power of Divine stars and though her death is deeply mourned, it is not as others mourn, without hope.
