    David Steven David R. Steven, 79, of 1717 Drummond St., died Wednesday at Luther "Hospital.

    Mr. Steven was born in Eau Claire to James and Merle (Pickford) Steven on Feb. 19, 1912. He married Harriett Peterson in 1939 in Eau Claire.

    He owned and operated Eau Claire Book & Stationery, Graphic Printing.. A.B. Dick, and Wisconsin School Service of Watertown. from 1947 to 1976.

    Survivors include his wife, Harriett, one daughter, Barbara Bautch of Orlando, Fla. four grandchildren; one brother, William P. Steven of Sarasota.

    Private family services will be held this summer. There will' be no visitation. Arrangements made by Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home.

    Merle P. Steven Merle P. Steven, 99, formerly of 216 Hudson St., died Thursday at M.B. Syverson Lutheran Home.

    Merle Pickford was born in Monticello and graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1902. She married James D.R. Steven Oct.10,1907, in Madison. Survivors include two sons, William P., Sarasota, Fla., David R., Eau Claire; a sister, Theo Owen, Madison; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Memorial services are at 10:30am Wednesday at First Congregational Church chapel, with burial in Lake View Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are by Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home.
