    Died:
    Frank Johnson died on Friday, March 28, at Fairfax Hospital, VA. Mr. Johnson who was 33 years old, was a longtime resident of Lynbrook and a graduate of Hewlett High School, Class of 1977.

    According to his mother, Isabel, Mr. Johnson received a liver transplant in Nov, 1992. "While the transplant was a success," she says, "subsequent mediation caused kidney failure, resulting in his death. I'm mentioning this to bring attention to the need for liver donors."

    Mr. Johnson was a former employee at the Nassau County Water Treatment Plant.

    Besides his mother, he is survived by his son, James, his daughter, Kelley and his sisters Audrey and Beverly. His father was the late James Johnson.

    A memorial service took place on April 4 at the Woodmere-Lawrence Methodist Church in Woodmere.

    James Johnson, who was active in the Woodmere-Lawrence United Methodist Church for more than 50 years, died on Tuesday, August, 12 at the age of 63.

    Mr. Johnson, who lived in Lynbrook, was the former owner and President of Johnson Ice & Fuel Company on Broadway in Lynbrook. He was the past president of the Hewlett Unit 865, Nassau Chapter CSEA, and worked form many years in the Hewlett-Woodmere School district as a custodian. He was also a member of the 803 Military Police Benevolent Society.

    Beloved husband of Isabel. Devoted father of Audrey and Frank Johnson and Beverly Ziegler. Dear brother of Isabella DeVallee. Loving grandfather.

    A funeral service was held at Perry Funeral Home, Lynbrook, on Thursday, August 14, with the Rev.Leon Kofod, pastor emeritus of the Woodmere-Lawrence Methodist Church officiating.

    Linda Krummel, soloist of the church choir sang a favorite hymn of Mr. Johnson's, "How Great Thou Art." Mr. Johnson was an active member of the church choir.
