    Doreen passed away peacefully at Campbell River Hospital after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Doreen was predeceased by her mother Annie Rose Pollock, father George Arnold Pollock, brother Gordon Walker, sister Isabel and brother-in-law Jim Johnson.

    Survived by partner Ross Garrison, daughter Kelly and husband Randy Anguish, daughter Tina Dale, brother and sister-in-law Roy and Gudrun Pollock, sister and brother-in-law Betty and Bob St.Onge, sister and brother-in-law Bev and Fred Ziegler. Also survived by several more relatives and friends from BC, AB, NB, ON, New York, and US states.

    Doreen loved doing her crafts: woodworking, sewing, floral arrangement, and was very good at them all. Doreen loved her family and grandchildren. She would do anything to help anyone.

    Thank you to the doctors and nurses for making Doreen more comfortable in her final days. Doreen will be laid to rest where she grew up, in Sechelt, BC at a later date.

    In remembrance of Doreen, please donate to the charity of your choice in her name.

    A pioneer of the Restigouche County lumber woods passed away at Soldiers Memorial Hospital here in the person of Simon Pollock, at the age of 70 years. He had been in failing health for some months and his death followed an operation performed several weeks ago, when he had been brought to Campbellton form his home at Glen Levit.

    Born in this district, Mr. Pollock had spent his life as a lumberman in winter and during the summer seasons had been connected with the Riparian Association form many years as a guide on the Restigouche salmon waters. He was a general favorite among residents of this country and was highly regarded by hundreds of visiting sportsmen who come here annually from points in the United States and Upper Canada.

    The funeral was held this afternoon from his home in Glencoe, with internment in the United Church cemetery at Flatlands. Many friends attended the obsequies.

    Wife of Simon Pollock
    The death of Mrs. Nellie Pollock of Glen Levit, which occurred on Tuesday morning last at the home of her daughter, Mr.s John Lutes, Campbellton has been learned with much regret by many friends and relatives.

    The late Mr.s Pollock was in her 73rd year. Her husband pre-deceased her fourteen years ago. She is survived by three sons, James F., Glen Levit; Scott and Arnold of Sechelt, B.C.; three daughters, Mrs. John Lutes (Jessie), Campbellton, Mrs. William Myles (Jean), Tidehead and Miss Venie at home. Two sisters, Mrs. Kierstead (Margaret), Glen Levit, Mrs. Irvine (Bella) of Flatlands and one brother, Charles of Glen Levit also survive as well as a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

    The largely attended funeral was held on Thursday afternoon at two o'clock from the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Lutes, Campbelton. Rev. W.F. Thomas conducted the service assisted by Rev. A. C. Crowe. Internment was in the Flatlands cemetery.

    The pallbearers were Jack Allison, Jack Adams, Rupert Lutes, Reggie Pollock, Wesley and Charles Kierstead.
