    Mr. John C. Gilmour died at Lacombe, Alta, on Friday, September 8th, aged 79 years and eight months. The immediate cause of death was dysentery. Mr. Glimour was formerly a resident of Almonte, living in the house occupied by Mr. A. Allen, on Elgin Street.

    On Wednesday afternoon there died in Smiths Falls, Rebecca Kilgour, relict of the Late John C. Gilmour, at the ripe age of eighty eight years. The funeral services will be conducted at the residence of her son-in-law, Mr Peter A. Thom, on Friday morning and the body will be brought to Carleton Place from whence the funeral will take place to the eighth line cemetery, arriving there about 10 o'clock. The burial services will be conducted by Rev. S. G. Brown. Mrs. John A. Thom of Blakeney is a daughter of deceased.
