    Peacefully at North Lambton Lodge, on Sunday, March 18, 2018, in her 97th year. Beloved wife of the late Norman (2005). Cherished mother of Richard Thomas, Pat Vance (Earl), Peggy Boon (Tom), Danny Thomas (Deb), and the late Penny Bryce
    (2014). Mother in law of Lyle Bryce. Survived by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also remembered by her sister Grace McEwen. Predeceased by her grand daughter Krista (1975).
    Visitation will take place at DENNING'S OF FOREST, 9 James Street South, on Tuesday, March 20, 2018, from 11:00 am ? 1:00 pm. There will be a private family Funeral Service. For those who wish, in memoriam donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian Diabetes Association, the North Lambton Lodge Auxiliary, or to the charity of one's choice would be appreciated by the family.     The wedding was solemnized In St. James' Anglican church where Ellen Muriel, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Doe became the bride of Hamilton Nichols, only son of Mr. and Mrs. Myron Nichols. Rev. D. F. Weegar officiated.

    The bride wore a street-length dress of white eyelet embroidery with lacy white Baku straw hat, corsage bouquet of American Beauty roses, and a pearl necklace, gift of the bridegroom.

    She was attended by her sister, Miss Carmen Doe. Grant Gaining of Ottawa was best man. After the wedding, a buffet luncheon was served to the immediate friends at the bride's home. The couple left later for a short honeymoon. On their return they will reside in Carleton Place.
