Notes: Ed MacPherson settled in Calgary and his obituary in the Calgary Albertan of 23 Jun 1937 states "In the fall of 1883 Ed McPherson, then a lad of 17, along with his half-brother (Harry Mather) and two other young men, went west and contracted the building of the CPR roadbed."
