D In Perth, March 17th, Mr. John F. Thompson, aged 55 years. Mr. Thompson, a well known horse & cattle dealer was killed by a train at the Wilson St. crossing. He resided on the 3n1 line of Bathurst and is survived by his wife, a sister of Mr. Wm. Dougherty, of this place and a family of three sons and five daughters: Emma, Edmond, Florence, Alexander and Pearl are at home, the eldest son, Thomas, employed by the CPR shops at Perth, Mrs. Alex. Barr, Cobden, and Mrs. John P. Leslie in this place. He is also survived by five brothers and two sisters: Thomas, New London; Wis., Harry, Duluth, Minn.; Jane (Mrs. W. McDonald), and Elizabeth, Webster City, Iowa; and Stephen and Alexander in Ottawa. Funeral was on Saturday to Elmwood Cemetery.
