    ?/i?Leslie Fisher Ferrier
    Funeral service was held in the Wartime United Church, on Saturday July 18th, for the late Leslie Fisher Ferrier aged 66 years, pioneer resident of the Belvoir district, who passed away in hospital on Wednesday July 15 following a long illness.
    Mr. Ferrier was born in Perth Ontario and came west to Loreburn in 1911 where he worked on a farm until he took out a homestead in the Belvoir district near Wartime in 1912. In 1917 he returned to Perth to marry Miss Mary Gertrude Oliver and they took up residence on the homestead. Mrs. Ferrier died in 1951 anad Mr. Ferrier remained on the farm until 1956 when he moved into the town of Wartime. He is survived by two sons, Kenneth of Montreal and John of Mozart SK and one daughter (Alice) Mrs. Sid Carnegie of Wiseton. There are nine grandchildren. A sister, Mrs. Herb Miller resides in Perth Ontario and there are three brothers, Mervin of Perth, Harold of Ottawa and Alec of Perth.
    Rev. G. Ward officiated at the service and Miss Ethel Kelsey was at the console of the organ. The hymns "Blest Be the Tie That Binds" and "Rock of Ages" were sung by the congregation. Interment followed in the family plot, Greenan Cemetery with the following acting as pallbearers: George Gilchrist, Allan Moore, Herb Clarke, Gordon Sinclair, Bill Cormack, and J. McPherson.
    Clements Funeral Home, Rosetown was in charge of arrangements.

    The death occurred in Elrose Hospital on Friday November --, of Mary Gertrude, beloved wife of Leslie Ferrier, of the Belvoir district. She was sixty-seven years of age.
    Born in Perth Ontario, the daughter of Mr and Mrs. George Oliver, she spent the early years of her life there. On February 21, 1917 she was married there to Mr. Leslie Fisher Ferrier, who had homesteaded in the Belvoir District along with her father and she returned with him to the farm where they resided until the present time. She was always of a quiet disposition and was very fond of her home life. There remains to mourn her, besides her husband, two sons, Kenneth of Longueuil Quebec and John of Mosart Saskatchewan and one daughter (Alice) Mrs. S. Carnegie of McLaughlin Alberta. There are two grandchildren. Two brothers, George W. and T.C. Oliver reside in the Wartime district.
    Funeral service was held in Wartime United Church on Monday November 5th at 1:30pm with the Rev. R.R. Smith of Alrose officiating. Miss Ethel Kelso was at the organ and hymns sung by the congregation were "What a Friend We Have in Jesus", "Rock of Ages" and "Jesus Lover of Our Soul". Mr. G.V. Wiggins was the usher in the church.
    Interment was made in the family plot, Greenan Cemetery with the following acting pallbeareres: F. Carr, A. Moore, I. Adsen, E. Croskery, F. Moore, G. Gilchrist. Glower bearers were: H. Gilchrist and G. Sinclair.
