Notes: The history, relayed to two grand daughters (married to unrelated McLeans in Bruce County) is that Neil Munro was married and settled in Scotland at the time his father, Peter Munro and the rest of the family came to Canada in 1820. Neil was a cobbler (or boot maker) by trade, in the old country, and came to Canada thirty six years after his father left Scotland which would be two years after his father died. Neil married Margaret Turner on 28 Apr 1825 in Glassary, Argyllshire, Scotland.
