Notes: The history, relayed to two grand daughters (married to unrelated McLeans in Bruce County) is that Neil Munro was married and settled in Scotland at the time his father, Peter Munro and the rest of the family came to Canada in 1820. Neil was a cobbler (or boot maker) by trade, in the old country, and came to Canada thirty six years after his father left Scotland which would be two years after his father died. Neil married Margaret Turner on 28 Apr 1825 in Glassary, Argyllshire, Scotland. Margaret (daughter of Duncan Turner and Isabella Williamson) was born about 1800 in Argyll and Bute, Scotland; died on 3 Sep 1883 in Bruce Twp, Bruce County, Ontario, Canada; was buried in Tiverton Cemetery, Tiverton, Bruce County, Ontario, Canada.
