    The marriage of Gweneth Gale, daughter of Mrs. Catherine Spencer and the late Mr. Albert Spencer of Ottawa to Vernon Finlay, son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter MacLean of Murray River, P.E.I., took place Saturday, June 29, 1963, 11.00 a.m. in St. Luke's Anglican Church. Rev. P. S. Irwin performed the double ring ceremony. Mr. L. Foss was organist and Mr. George Montgomery soloist. Given in marriage by her brother, Mr. Albert Spencer, the bride wore a floor-length gown of peau de soie having a short train. The fitted bodice was topped with a sweetheart neckline and had long lily point sleeves. A tiara of pearls held her bouffant veil. She carried a bouquet of yellow roses. The maid of honor, Miss Carole O'Heare wore a street length yellow taffeta dress, with matching headdress of yellow taffeta flowers. She carried a bouquet of yellow and white shasta daisies. Miss Gail O'Heare, bridesmaid, Miss Brenda Bradley, junior bridesmaid, and Miss Darlene Brown, flower girl, wore identical street-length dresses of yellow and aqua taffeta with matching headdresses of yellow and aqua flowers. They carried yellow and white shasta daisies. The ring bearer was Master Billy Bradley, the train bearer, Master Gregory Spencer, both nephews of the bride. Mr. Cyril MacLean was best man; ushers, Mr. Dale Jackson and Mr. Bud Bradley. The altar was decorated with yellow and white gladioli. A wedding trip through the Great Lakes followed a reception at the Standish Hall. For travelling the bride wore a yellow linen suit with matching yellow hat, and white accessories. Mr. and Mrs. MacLean will reside in Ottawa.
