    Notes:

    Agnes Bassett, a wonderful woman and devoted to her lifetime companion and husband, Moses Bassett. She was also a devoted mother to her two children, Arthur and Eleanor. Along with her role as mother, she took on the task of being a home based grandmother to Jim, Dohn and Bruce and aided in the raising of them.

    She, like her mother, "ruled the roost". She was known as matriarch of the family. She was a mainstay in "togetherness" of her Moodie and Bassett families.

    Many who knew her said she never had a rough word and was kind to all.

    She is resting next to Moses, her husband.

    Notes:

    Thomas Moodie arrived in Cleveland, Ohio abt 1878, Moodie soon opened and owned his own Blacksmith Shop at 55th and Euclid Avenue. He became horsehoer for the wealthy in Cleveland. Moodie eventually opened a second shop in East Cleveland.

    He became father to ten children. Moodie was a prominent, dedicated Mason. He was active in the Shriners, also President of the Horsehoers Association for many years.

    Mary Thomas Moodie, arrived in Cleveland, Ohio two years after her husband, Thomas Moodie; bringing her first two born children John Edwin and Agnes Miller Moodie with her. She continued her family until they counted nine. She was a talented artist and a woman who "ruled the roost".
    She was very active and a dedicated member of the Liberty Chapter of the Eastern Star of the Masonic Order. She was a past president of the Ladies Auxillary Lodge No. 79 of the "Clan Grant", a Scottish Order. Also, she was a past President of the Horsehoers and Blacksmiths National Convention.
