MILLER_On Monday, August 11, 2008 Dorothy Jean Miller passed away at the age of 95 years.

She was predeceased by her husband, Ken Miller, and her parents, Bert and Sadie Peardon.

Jean is survived by her three children; Bob Miller (Virginia) of Ottawa, Marilyn Miller of Calgary and Patricia Cumberland (Paul Still) of Regina. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren, Shannon King, Ken Miller, Corey Heiber, Jason Miller, Scott Cumberland, Dan Cumberland, Rob Cumberland, and 'Tricia Cumberland; as well as her eight great-grandchildren; Gwen, Ben, Cameron, Kaleb, Brandon, Julia, Ivy and Abby.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in Westminster United Church, 3025 13th Avenue, Regina with Rev. Jack Bray officiating.

Interment will follow at Riverside Memorial Park.

Jean was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend to many people. She touched their hearts and lives with her gentle, caring ways. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered. An online book of condolences may be signed at www.speersfuneralchapel.com

At Loreburn, Sask, Dec 31, Margaret Morrison, wife of Ralph Miller, aged 26 yrs. Was daughter of late James Morrison of McCue and married 3 yrs ago. Survived by 2 brothers and sister - Messrs James & George Coutts and Miss Martha Coutts. Funeral Saturday from old home at Rideau Ferry.

A pretty wedding was solemnized in Bethel church, Rideau Ferry, on Wednesday evening the 10th inst., when Ralph D. Miller, of Loreburn, Sask., and Miss Margaret F. Morrison were made man and wife by Rev W.T.B. Crombie.

The bride was given away by her brother, Mr. James Coutts, and the choir sayn "The Voice that Breathed over Eden." The bride was attended by Miss Bessie Ready as bridesmaid, when Mr. Harvey Miller, of Elliott, was groomsman, and Miss Kathelln King, flower girl.

The bride was gowned in cream silk eclienne and carried a bouquet of white carnations; the bridesmaid's dress was of white silk, and her bouquet of pink carnations.

A reception was held afterwards at the home of the bride's brother, where over ninety guests extended their felicitations to the bride and groom. The house was decorated in white and yellw, the bloweres being daffodils.

After a week spent with friends here, Mr. and Mrs Miller will leave for their western home in Loreburn, Sask., via Chicago. The bride received many beautiful and costly presents as tokens of the esteem in which she is held, and which will remind her of her old home in the east.
