    This contradicts Peter Munro document:
Peter (age 52, a weaver) and Mary Munro and family traveled to Canada from Argyleshire Scotland in 1820 on either the ship '?b?Brook?/b?' (7 families, Transatlantic Society) departed 9 July 1820, arriving 21 Au 1820, Dougal Cowan, Master or the '?b?Prompt?/b?' (370 people, 33 families were members of Lesmahago Society), departed 4 July 1820, arriving at Quebec 4 Sep 1820, Joseph Nairn, Master.

Traveled to Canada with Dobbie family, later the families were to intermarry.

    Residence:
Settled on Dalhousie C1 L10. Moved to Bathurst in 1835.

The land is described as rough and stony, and not suitable for extensive agriculture. Inspected by the author about 1934, he notes very little improvements have been made to it. Practically all the tillable land has been broken and is in crop by the present owner, but the greater portion of the acreage is still in its original state. He continues, "A good road runs along the northwest boundary of the lot from the village of Watson's Corners, which is not more than two miles away. The concession road, however, on which the farm faces has never been opened up for traffic, although there is abundant evidence to show that this road has been used to some extent in the early days. The right-of-way is now overgrown with trees and shrubbery and is altogether impassable."

Peter Munro applied for a patent, 4 Apr 1838, as a member of the Lanark Society Settlers of 1820, for Dalhousie Twp Con 1 E1/2 Lot10. His patent had not arrived with those of the other settlers. The patent was granted 1 June 1938. On 8 July 1840 he sold the property to James MacMillan, 100 acres for ?50, who in turn passed it on to a son and daughter who later conveyed it to Charles McArthur. The property changed hands three times before being acquired by Charles Caldwell (owner in 1934).?i?

Fire raged through this part of Lanark in 1870, and in 1934 only foundations of the buildings were evident. A spring, located on the SE corner of the lot, about 25 yards from the NE boundary, close to the division road between the townships of Dalhousie and Lanark was known as the Munro spring (1934). The traveled road runs along the NW side of the farm.

    Land & Property:
20 Jan 1835, he purchased the rear part of the W1/2 of ?b?L6 C3 Bathurst ?/b?from John McNie for ?65. It was?b? ?/b?situated about ten or eleven miles west of Perth (63 acres adjacent to front part of West half of ?b?C3?/b? ?b?L6 Bathurst ?/b?owned by son John in 1850's). The deed was registered 9 July 1845. Peter, his son, was a resident on this property.

Peter Munro lived on this property for the rest of his life and when he died this property transferred to his youngest son Roderick, who in turn left the property to his grand-niece Mary Jane Munro.
Peter Munro's will was witnessed by Andrew Miller and James Patterson.
