    Excerpts from Camden Advance Journal: June 20, 1912 - Obituary states Mrs. Edwin Rae (Agnes) died Friday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Albert Graves, in Rochester. Mrs. Rae had been connected with the County Home in Rome as seamstress for the past fifteen years and during that time her husband was employed there as farm overseer. The remains were taken to Vienna where the funeral was held on Monday.

    Camden Advance Journal: April 4, 1901 - Obituary states
    North Bay - April 2 - William Rae, an old resident died at his home in West Vienna, Saturday from a relapse of the grip. He was about 78 years old. Mr. Rae was of Scotch descent, and was but a few weeks old when his parents embarked for America. Mr. Rae was a staunch republican, a man esteemed for his sterling worth. He is survived by two sons - Edward Rae, manager of the Oneida County Home farm, at Rome, and James B. Rae of West Vienna, and two daughters -- Misses Janett and Belle Rae, who have so kindly cared for their father since the death of their mother, which occurred many years ago. The funeral was held Wednesday and interment in Lake View Cemetery.
