    Notes:

    ?b?Lucy Adams' will -- 23 Jul 1784?/b?
(The handwritten original is generally un-paragraphed, of course. The transcriber, Billy Eugene Wagner II, did his best in deciphering the text, and apologizes for any flaws:

and first of all, I comit my Soul to God in Christ and my Body to the Earth, to be buried in a Decent Christian manner, nothing Doubting but I shall receive the same again by the Power of god at the general Resurrection at the Last Day, and as Touching such wordly [worldly] Estate as it hath Pleased god to give me in this Life, after Just Debts, sick bed Expenses, etc., are paid, I give and dispose of in the following manner and form:
Imprimises -- I give and Bequeath to my Beloved son ?b?Oliver Adams?/b? all my right and Title I have in the Stoney Swamp, so called, lying near the Dwelling House of Samuel Adams, to him and his heirs for Ever.
[Note: If that Samuel Adams was then in or near his 70s, he was likely Lucy's brother-in-law -- or, if a somewhat younger Samuel, he would likely have been Lucy's nephew.]
Item -- I give and bequeath to my Beloved Daughters?b? Lucy, Thanks, and Elizabeth?/b? all my Lands, Except the above mentioned piece, to them and their heirs for Ever, to be Equally divided among them, and also all my moveable Estate, to be Equally divided among my said three daughters
