Adored by her grandchildren Connor and Kayleigh Vallier, Jessalee and Jedd Turcotte. Forever missed by mother-in-law Doris Chaplin, brother-in-law Gary Chaplin, and many nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to join Carole's family at a Graveside Service in Auld Kirk Cemetery, Almonte on Sunday, July 3 at 1 p.m. followed by a "Sharing of Memories" at the Almonte Civitan Club.     CHAPLIN, Donald M. Suddenly in hospital in Perth, on Tuesday, March 6th, 2007 Donald Miller Chaplin in his 87th year. Beloved husband for 64 years of Doris M. (Gamble) Chaplin. Dearly loved father of Gary (Pat) and Grant (Carole); cherished grandfather of Christa (Jesse) Vallier and James Chaplin and great-grandfather of Connor and Kayleigh Vallier. Dear brother of John (late Orpha), Cameron (late Betty), Betty (late Howard) McGregor, Wynne (Al) Chaffee and the late Helen (O'Gorman) Code. Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, Perth on Friday, March 9th, 2007 from 2 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held in Elmwood Cemetery followed by a reception in the Blair & Son Family Centre. In remembrance, contributions to the Great War Memorial Hospital Foundation or St. Paul's United Church Memorial Fund would be appreciated.

    Born July 3, 1923, passed December 17, 2022 in her 100th year, at Lanark Lodge following a brief battle with Covid 19. She was the daughter of John and Jean Gamble. Predeceased by her husband Donald Chaplin (March 6, 2007) and son Gary Chaplin (June 28, 2019).

    Loving mother of Grant Chaplin (late Carole), and Grandmother to Christa Turcotte (Jeff) and Mames Chaplin (Amber) and Great Grandmother to Connor Vallier and Kakyleigh Vallier. Having lost the sight in her left eye at the age of 10, she was able to overcome most obstacles and loved sports and competition in curling, golf, bowling and playing bridge with her many friends. She competed in the Canadian Senior Games in Whitehorse, YT and was the recipient of a gold medal from those games.

    Our family would like to thank the staff of Lanark Lodge for their compassionate care during her extended stay there. Per her wishes, there will be no misitation or service. A private interment will be held in Perth Cemetery at a future date. Arrangements are in the care of Blair & Son Funeral Directors, Perth.

    In remembrance of Doris, contributions to St. Paul's United Church, Perth or Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital Foundation, Perth site would be appreciated.
