    [barber dodds marilyns.FTW] OBITUARY Harold Wyman, 30 Vesta -
    Word was received Friday morning, March 15th of the sudden death od Harold Wyman in the Veterans Hospital in Wood, Wisconsin. His Parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.D.Wyman had left that morning to visit him, and the telegram came after they had driven away, so they did not know of their son's death until the reached the hospital. Although never strong, and with a record of several severe illnesses, Harold was accepted for army service in September 1942, After his training period, he was sent to Hawaii with the 47th Squadron Armored Division, He was taken ill there and was flown back to this country and hospitalized in the army hospital at Sante Fe, New Mexico for about six months. In March of 1945 he was discharged from the Army with the rank of Sgt.
    He was then turned over to the Vetran's Administration and was hospitalized at Wood, Wisconsin until his death. He gave his life for his country as truly as any man who fell in battle.
    Harold Ward Wyman was born on June 26th, 1915 in Vesta. He was the first son of Mr. and Mrs. A. D. Wyman. He attended grade school and two years of high school at Vesta and completed his high school work at Echo. He then attended the university for a time, then took special work at Dunwoody Institute in Minneapolis. After that he joined the mechanical staff of the National Cash Register Co. at Dayton, Ohio. In June 1941, he was assigned to the Danville, Illinois, plant of the company, and was there until his induction into the army. Harold was a fine Christian young man, in all ways a credit to his parents and his community. Funeral services were held at his home in Vesta, Tuesday afternoon, and interrment was in the Echo cemetey. The Pall bearers were Ross, Robert, Will, Myron, Peter, and Wayne Barber. Mrs. H. M. Mattson, Mrs. P. M. Barber, Mrs. John Kotval and Mrs. E. N. Montgomery handled the flowers. He leaves to mourn his passing, his parents, a brother Burton, living in Cleveland, Ohio, a brother Kenneth in Vesta, besides other relatives and a host of friends. Relatives who attended from a distance were Mrs. A. P. Lemke, Mr and Mrs Victor Lemke, Mr and Mrs Dievlow and Mrs Herman Hendrickson of Long Prairie; Mr and Mrs Freeman Parsons of Renville; Mr and Mrs Frank Parsons and Mrs Bert Parsons of Springfield; Mr and Mrs Harry Giffen of St Vincent; Mr and Mrs Ormie Wyman of Pembina, N.D.; Mr and Mrs Marion Hosar and Mrs Mary Clark of Minneapolis, Mr and Mrs G L Crooks and Mrs Jesse Olson of Redwood Falls. Others from a distance were Floyd and Lawrence Hansvick and Rollan Antoin of Minneapolis.
