    Iris joined her husband and true love Bill on Jan. 19th 2006 in Lake Cowichan, BC. Born Aug. 17 in Victonia, BC. Predeceased by her loving husband, William Edmond Peters in 1992, brothers and sisters, Donald, Lillian Howard, Allan (Patrick), David (Clifford), Marguerite, Eric, Gordon, Miriam, and grandson William (Gavin) Peters. Survived by one brother, Lyall Newell, of Whitby, Ontario and one sister Maymie Barnes of Parksville, daughters, Maureen (Richard) Fielden, of Parksville, Joan (John) Hieta ot Lake Cowichan, sons, William (Terry) Peters of Lake Cowichan and Rod (Karen) Peters of Lake Cowichan, 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and one great great grandson.

    Iris was a very caring and loving wife, mother and grandmother, always thinking of her family first. She will be sorely missed by all that had the privilege to know her. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation for the care mom received during these past weeks. We will always remember the love and hard work of Sandy and the girls at Nana's Place, the compassion and professionalism of Dr. Froese, and the extra love and devotion of mom's guardian angel Joan Hieta (our rock).
