    Died:
    Born in Govan, Lanark, Scotland, and the son of Andrew Climie and Jennet Turnbull. Emigrated to Canada with his family in 1821. Married (1) Marion Park on Feb. 1, 1842 in Plympton; married (2) Jeanette Park, his sister-in-law and widow of George Donald, on March 27, 1871 in Plympton.

    As a young man, William was part of the McKenzie rebellion and with other Plympton farmers was stationed at Sarnia, although they saw no action. Per his obituary, in the old log house and barn-raising days, he was a first-class man to have and was always willing to help. He did the first chopping on the lot that forms the west half of what is now the village of Wyoming.

    Father of Marian [Mrs. Joseph Johnson], Jennet [Mrs. John MacKenzie], Andrew Climie, Margaret Climie, and Gloriane [Mrs. William Knapp], all by his first wife.

Jeanette (daughter of Hugh Park and Janet Hay) was born on 24 Jan 1822 in Dalhousie Twp, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada; died on 19 Feb 1877 in Plympton Twp, Lambton County, Ontario, Canada; was buried in Dunlop Cemetery, Lambton, Lambton County, Ontario, Canada.     Died:
    Andrew was the son of Andrew Climie and Margaret McGavin. On June 28, 1799, he married Jennet Turnbull. On May 11, 1821, the family sailed to Canada as part of the emigrating societies under a grant of 100 acres of land to each head of family, together with a certain allowance of money from the British government. The ship landed on June 20. The Climies located at Dalhousie Twp, Lanark County, Upper Canada (now Ontario), but around 1835 they moved to Plympton, Lambton County, near the southernmost top of Lake Huron. Andrew and Jennet were the parents of nine children: Andrew, Jennet, Robert, Thomas, Hugh, William, Margaret, another William, and Elizabeth.
