Notes: Moved in 1856 to Belmont Township Concession 2 Lot 17, taking up 500 acres - eventually increased to 1000 acres - called Rockdale. His property was cut out of primal woods on the Crow River were he built and ran a sawmill. He was prominent in municipal affairs and served on council for nine years.
